Our History

In 1984, Dr. David M. Ockert, a trailblazer in the field of detoxification, post-acute withdrawal, and protracted abstinence syndrome treatment, established the Parallax Center. Driven by a holistic approach, our center seamlessly integrates psychopharmacology, psychosocial interventions, and cognitive and behavioral therapies. We believe in addressing not only the chemical dependency but also the psychological aspects of recovery. In fact, the name "Parallax" symbolizes our core philosophy that gaining perspective requires viewing an object from multiple angles.
