OUTPATIENT DETOXIFICATION

Withdrawal Management and post acute withdrawal Stabilization

We recognized over 30 years ago that a person needs to learn how not to use in the environment they live in to be

successful in early recovery.

Outpatient detoxification gives the person this chance.

Our treatment is safe, very comfortable, and successful.

HOW IT WORKS

Each patient is thoroughly medically assessed to determine whether they are appropriate for the treatment.

We can detox from:

  • Alcohol

  • Opioids such as Heroin, Methadone, Buprenorphine, Oxycontin and Fentanyl

  • Benzodiazepines such as Diazepam, and Xanax

  • Or any combination of the above substances

Each substance has a specific medication protocol designed to address

withdrawal symptoms and stabilize your body.

A UNIQUE OPIOID WITHDRAWAL PROTOCOL

The Parallax Center utilizes a unique opioid withdrawal protocol that avoids the use of opioid medications and allows for complete abstinence from any form of opioid medication, such as buprenorphine or methadone. Our medical staff can induce you to Vivitrol immediately upon the elimination of opiates from the body. Vivitrol is a non-addictive medication which can more rapidly restore normal brain function and thereby help to heal the opioid-impaired nervous system. On the completion of the Parallax Center opioid detoxification, patients report increased energy, optimism, and a readiness to pursue the next stages of recovery with full mental and emotional capacity.

Before the end of the detoxification protocol, staff and patient mutually develop a discharge plan to ensure a prompt transition to ongoing treatment for long-term abstinence and stabilization. If the discharge plan includes continuing care services at the Parallax Center, the transition to ongoing care is seamless, occurring immediately with a continuity of medical and counseling staff whenever possible.
