She’s been with Parallax Center, Inc. for nearly 2 years as a part-time clinician, working with individual clients, as well as running group therapy. Ms. Hurley’s role outside of Parallax consists of identifying community needs related to the opioid epidemic and coordinating comprehensive initiatives to address them.
I enjoy working at Parallax Center because we genuinely work with people at all stages of readiness to change their substance using behavior. The clinicians and medical staff approach each person that walks through the door with empathy and compassion. We believe that we’re not just here to stabilize the person in their early recovery, but also to ensure that they develop the tools to maintain their sobriety and reach long-term recovery.
Ariel’s hobbies include reading, cooking, traveling, and writing.
