OUR HISTORY

Founded in 1984 by Dr. David M. Ockert, a pioneer in the treatment of protracted abstinence syndrome and detoxification, the Parallax Center incorporates psychopharmacology, and psychosocial, cognitive and behavioral therapies. We treat not only the chemical dependency but also psychological and medical problems as well. In fact, our name Parallax came from the idea that to obtain perspective, an object must be viewed from multiple angles.
